President Trump on Tuesday teased that a “big announcement” is coming before he leaves for his trip to the Middle East early next week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think before then we\u2019re going to have a very, very big announcement to make. Like, as big as it gets and I won\u2019t tell you on what. But, and it\u2019s very positive. I\u2019d tell you if it was negative or positive, I can\u2019t keep that out. It is really, really positive,\u201d the president said, sitting alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n
The president is leaving for the Middle East on Monday and said that his announcement will be made on Thursday, Friday or Monday before he departs. He is set to visit Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar on his trip, which is expected to end on May 16.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will be one of the most important announcements that has been made in many years about a certain subject, very important subject. So, you\u2019ll all be here,\u201d the president added.<\/p>\n
Carney responded before he began his opening remarks, \u201cI\u2019m on the edge of my seat,\u201d and Trump tapped his leg and laughed.<\/p>\n
